Abstract:

Food security issues in urban areas are crucial in addressing poverty. Urban food production as a food security avenue was discussed at the workshop held in May 1998 by academic researchers, policy makers and practitioners from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia. The booklet "Urban Food Production" presents the workshop proceedings.
