JOINING THE NETWORK

Dear Concerned Citizen:

Thank you very much for responding to the public appeal of Operation Firimbi. You have taken another step towards positive, personal, social action in your community, by your contribution. Operation Firimbi only exists if you are always there, ready to "blow the whistle" on illegal land grabbing and, more positively, to give support to the development and growth of your own community well-being. That is why we are promoting the formation of local chapters of Operation Firimbi, or ‘vocal points’ as they have been creatively called. Once your local chapter or vocal point has met and set up, the organiser should then:

  • Inform the coordinator of Operation Firimbi of your establishment and its chosen name.
  • Supply your location and and address, and details of membership.
  • Outline your intended activities and actions and the areas of your concerns.

On acknowledgement of the above, Operation Firimbi will supply further information and details of the network.

Sincerely Davinder Lamba Coordinator, Operation Firimbi

Glocal Web

We look at how the global relates to the local, in a globalising and urbanising world. A world of skewed development in which the human dignity and empowerment of the few rather than the many is realized. We see the overlap of the global and the local, or the web of'glocalization' intensifying in diverse places, affecting social and decision process, practices and governance.

Our Voice

Our voice is for the realization of human dignity and empowerment of everyone - women, men and children and for ecological integrity everywhere. Making the global act for the local is of concern to us.

Our Ways

We integrate diverse ways to inquire and to act. Our work extends relevant knowledge and practices, promotes learning and cooperation and enhances ethical solidarity and advocacy.
