Abstract: An educational pamphlet illustrating the breeds that make up the national dairy and beef herds in Kenya. It outlines the main features of ten sub species of both the Bos indicus and Bos taurus species. It also diagrammatically shows the anatomy and the digestive system of the cow. As part of the science and agriculture primary school syllabus, it attempts to supplement the efforts of teachers by providing supporting visual materials for use in educational activity.
